A Summer of Fun, Friends, Focus, and Just Being a Kid!

Summer Day Camp programs at the YMCA are a unique as the campers themselves.  We focus on developing the whole child through programs that support children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.

YMCA Summer Day Camp programs include field trips, swimming, arts & Crafts, sports nad activities that help campers discover the importance of living a life full of fitness and nutrition.

Give your child the gift of summer memories by enrolling them in one of our distinguished programs.

YMCA 2010 Summer Day Camp seessions are held from June 21st to August 23rd.

Extended Camp Care (Age 3 - 16)

Parents are welcome to register their children in our Extended Camp Care program. We provide a variety of games and sports in an indoor (AM care) or outdoor (PM care) setting. Staffed by our Camp Directors and Counselors, your children will have positive role models to interact with on a daily basis. The Extended Camp Care fee enables parents to drop their children off as early as 7:30 AM and pick them up by 6 PM. Children being signed out after 6 PM will incur a late fee of $1 per minute per child past 6 PM that they are in our care.


 
 

 

Gymnastics Camp (Age 6 - 13)

Kids FLIP over Gymnastics! Summer gymnastics camp is a sports specialty camp for girls and boys. This program focuses on teaching USAG gymnastics levels 1-4 in  a safe and fun atmosphere. Each day is action-packed with gymnastics instructionin vault, bars, balance, tumbling, strength, and flexabilty. Campers swim daily!   Lunch, rest breaks, gymnastics games and contests are all part of the GymnasticsCamp program.  Girls wishing to be Main Line YMCA gymnastics team members may try out for the team during camp sessions. This program is for beginner all the way to the advanc ed gymnast. Camp takes place at the Main Line YMCA gym with the use of instructi onal and competitive equipment. (Appropriate attire required:leotard for girls,  gym shorts with tucked in T-shirt for boys).

 

Sports Camp (Age 8 - 12)

YMCA Sports Camp uses the Hilltop Prep School facilities on South Ithan Avenue in Rosemont. Our Sports Camp is exciting and challenging for all. A summer of fun, fair play,   and fundamentals awaits campers who participate in a variety of sports-related activites including athletic drills and games. All activities are geared for children of all abilities from the beginner to the very talented and competitive. A t YMCA Sports Camp, counselors motivate campers to reach their full potential as  an athlete and well rounded youth. We emphasize and encourage the development o f character in each camper, focusing on the development of the YMCA's four core  values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. Campers do not need to bring equipment for our sports activites. Activities may include, but are not limited to basketball, softball, football, soccer, and street hockey. A recreational swim is provided daily. Each week also includes a field trip. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Camp Trailblazers (Age 11 -12)

YMCA Camp is located on the grounds of Hill Top Prep School, on South Ithan Avenue in Rosement. This spacious facility includes an indoor gymnasium, outdoor swi mming pool, playing fields and classrooms.  We keep your child's best interest in mind, with camp activites targeted to his/her own group. Interaction with their peers as well ast he entire camp will brin g fun and enjoyment while they are learning new skills and sharing interests. Da ily activites may include swimming, sports, arts and crafts, science and nature,    games and social times for new friends. Each week will have a theme that will be incorporated into the daily activites and some on-site and off-site field trip s. All activities are skill based and age appropriate and emphasize fun, fair p lay, participation, respect for others and cooperation.  Swimming instruction is a daily activity at YMCA Camp. All children will receive instruction Monday through Thursday except for field trip conflicts. On Fridays , campers will be evaluated and given a free swim time. Swimming instruction is  provided by YMCA swim instructors and lifeguards are present at all times.

 

 

 

CEO (Camp Extra Ordinary) (Age 12 - 16)

C.E.O. is not your traditional day camp. Space is limited to 24 participants per week who must be responsible, have a positive attitude, and be willing to try new things. The camp is based at the Hill Top Prep School, but will spend most of it’s time at various locations throughout the community. Participants reach their full potential through volunteerism, leadership, adventure, and team building activities.

Camp Pathfinders (Age 10 - 11)

YMCA camp is located on the grounds of Hilltop Prep School, on South Ithan Ave in Rosemont. This spacious facility includes an indoor gymnasium, outdoor swimmin g pool, playin fields and classrooms.  We keep your child's best interest in mind, with camp activities targeted to his/her own age group. Interaction eith their peers as well as the entire camp will  bring fun and enjoyment while they are learning new skills and sharing interest s. Camp Small Feet is run at the Main Line YMCA facilities in Ardmore. The facilityincludes an outdoor field, swimming pool, gymnasium, and multipurpose rooms.  Camp Small Feet provides an enjoyable learning experience for young campers as they discover more about the world around them. Each day may include songs, games , story-time, arts and crafts, snack time, rest time, and time to make friends.  Each week will have a theme that will be incorporated into the daily activities and the plannin of each week. In house field trips and special visitors will be planned. All acctivies are age appropriate and geared to challenge and enrich the campers experience.  Swimming instruction is a daily activity at Camp Small Feet. All children will receive instruction Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, campers will be swim tes ted and given a free swim time. Swimming instruction is provided by YMCA swim in structors and lifeguards are present at all times.
